Vision 2024

In January 2024, our Church Revitalization Team presented the “Vision Highway” strategy to the Westoak Woods family. The Vision Highway is a way for the church to accomplish the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).
The Vision Highway is based on three pillars, or major truths.
  • Pillar 1: We want to become more like Jesus and obey the Great Commission.
  • Pillar 2: We want to serve people with immediate needs, provide training and help for making good relationships and responding to brokenness, develop a “going” mindset, and develop relational spaces on campus.
  • Pillar 3: We highly value worship, the practice of grace, sharing our testimonies, collaborative listening, and cooperating with God’s work in his ways and timing.
The Vision Highway is also based on hitting six strategic targets.
  • Target 1: Tell our stories in creative ways
  • Target 2: Personalize the church.
  • Target 3: Increase our sense of the sacred.
  • Target 4: Foster community through practical/biblical ways.
  • Target 5: Intentionally connect with families.
  • Target 6: Enhance how we communicate effectively with a visual culture.
